I loved playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 back in the day. It was such a great game for it’s time. From the ground battles, to playing as heroes, to space battles where you can land your ship on an enemy cruiser and sabotage it from within. It was such fun! It tried to do a lot, giving amazing value and memories.

Star Wars Armada: Painting the Jumpmaster 5000
Painting ol’ Toilet Paper Head’s ship was pretty fun and easy to do. After cleaning the model up, I primed in black, using Army Painters excellent and thin black primer. Less is always more with primer, better six thin coats than three thick ones. Continue reading Star Wars Armada: Painting the Jumpmaster 5000
New Battlefront Footage
I just love watching these videos. They are so well done! From the dynamic lighting, the screen wipes, the authentic Star Wars sounds and settings, to the non stop action – it’s all so very excellent!
If you haven’t seen the new footage yet, sit back and watch what amounts to a mini Star Wars action movie.
Star Wars Armada: Painting IG-88’s Aggressor
I managed to play in a Sullust event and when it came down to selecting prizes, I wanted to get the Rogue Pack because I was interested in getting a head start on painting up the ships.
Unfortunately, a great guy that I met there and a local veteran Kristjan, also wanted the pack. I felt bad for taking the Rogues ahead of him so I vowed to do something special by painting all the ships and sharing them so others get an insight into painting them before release. Searching for Paul Heaver (a 2015 X-Wing Worlds Battle Report…sort of)

I’ve been playing X-Wing Miniatures for about one year now and marvel at the nuances in this game. On the other hand, many win by playing so much, and practice, practice, practice. When I lose, I usually acknowledge that I was outplayed, but secretly blame the dice. It’s been baffling to me how people like Paul Heaver can consistently win with this current changing meta.

Ideas to Fix the “Squadron Problem” in Star Wars Armada
I think there is a slight problem with squadrons in Armada, and for me it’s mostly a problem of theme. Game mechanics have trumped fluff. Where are the heroes talking over comms to other pilots setting up attack runs? No one is saying “cut the chatter Red Two” because everyone is too busy waiting for orders from capital ships. Why do Imperials have to take mercenaries in their fleets if they want a squadron to move and attack? No TIEs have Rouge? Is that because Boba Fett is a better star pilot than Darth Vader?
